This article addresses the 2024 Hezbollah–Israel war and the displacement of over 41,000 Lebanese Shiites to Iraq. It analyzes how media narratives framed this forced migration—not as a humanitarian crisis, but as a geopolitical maneuver. The study identifies three dominant frames: geopolitical instruments, historical engineering, and reactive displacement. These narratives often marginalize refugee voices and diminish their agency. By examining the intersection of media framing, forced migration, and regional geopolitics, the article contributes to a deeper understanding of how displacement crises are interpreted, politicized, and represented in the contemporary Middle East.
