2022- Conference- "Youth and Migration from Lebanon."

 

Dr. Suzanne Menhem, Oghma's Deputy Director & Research Manager, represented the Lebanese Sociological Association (LSA) at the 5th ISA Council of National Associations Conference of the International Sociological Association in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, from 21 to 24 November 2022. 

 

The conference, titled "Social Transformations and Sociology: Dispossessions and Empowerment," addressed global turning points (e.g., COVID-19, political insecurities, and growing economic, and cultural polarization). 

 

Dr. Menhem presented "Youth and Migration from Lebanon," which addressed sociological, political, and economic reasons for the exodus.
